AGA Reports Growing Number of Americans Engaging in Casinos and Sports Betting

In July, the American Gaming Association (AGA) unveiled its Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker, shedding light on the flourishing casino industry in the United States. Recent metrics hint at a growing acceptance and engagement with gaming activities among Americans. The latest study, “American Attitudes Toward Gaming 2025,” spearheaded by AGA, confirms that more individuals are partaking in gambling than ever before. Conducted online between July 22 and August 8, 2025, by data analysis firm Kantar, the survey reached 2,001 registered voters aged 21 and older, yielding a margin of error of merely 2%.

Diving into the statistics, it’s revealed that over the past year, 57% of adults have engaged in some form of gambling, whether through visiting physical casinos or placing sports bets. Notably, 30% of these adults made a visit to a physical casino, while 21% participated in sports betting activities. This unprecedented level of participation reflects a broader cultural shift, with nine out of ten Americans now considering casino gambling acceptable and 62% deeming it personally acceptable.
