Florida Police Bust Major Illegal Gambling and Money Laundering Ring

The Palms Beach County Sheriff’s Office has been heavily engaged in significant operations aimed at dismantling illegal gambling rings and money-laundering operations in Florida. According to an official police statement, multiple arrests have been made, with numerous suspects now in police custody. This large-scale operation was authorized by nine search warrants and five arrest warrants, underscoring the serious nature of the illicit activities involved.

Among those apprehended were Ritesh Patel, 33, and Nova Revez Roffey, 41, who were both arrested in Palm Beach County. The charges against them include conspiracy of money laundering, running an illegal gambling venue, operating an unlawful lottery, and the unlawful possession of slot machines. The crackdown didn’t stop in Palm Beach County, however; two Miami-based businessmen, Eric David Silverstein and Justin Earl Silverstein, were also taken into custody. Allegedly, they supplied the gambling machines to the illegal venues, knowing that their devices were being utilized for illicit activities.

The probe began back in 2022 when a specialized unit was established to scrutinize a network of illegal gambling venues operating under the guise of Las Vegas-style video slot machines. The thorough investigations led to the raiding of four locations: Vero Beach, Zephyrhills, Fort Pierce, and West Palm Beach, all of which were linked to the illicit operations. Authorities have confirmed that more arrests are imminent as they strive to bring all those involved to justice. This recent bust is part of an ongoing effort, reminiscent of another high-profile crackdown near Orlando earlier this month. These actions collectively reflect a determined attempt by Florida’s law enforcement to uphold legal and ethical standards in the community.
