Low-Budget Airline Adds Two More Routes in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, famously known for its iconic Strip and bustling casino scene, is experiencing a shift in its typical tourist demographics. Predominantly, the summer of 2025 has seen a reduction in Canadian visitors, attributed largely to the policies of President Donald Trump, which have drawn significant criticism. Trump’s administration has not only vocally criticized Canada but has also imposed strict tariffs that affected the Canadian economy. This political tension has had a direct impact on the tourist footfall from Canada, sparking concerns about potential job losses in the tourism and service sectors within Las Vegas.

In response to these changes, Breeze Airways is making strategic adjustments to bolster domestic travel, announcing the launch of two new routes from the Harry Reid International Airport. Starting March 2026, travelers can look forward to affordable flights to Provo, Utah, at a minimum of $39, and Redmond, Oregon, starting at $49. These new routes, part of an initial marketing campaign, will be available at a promotional price through May 13. Lukas Johnson, the chief commercial officer of Breeze Airways, expressed enthusiasm about both reviving the popular Provo route and introducing the new Redmond route, highlighting the airline’s growth in Las Vegas over recent years. This move is also set to replace the services of Avelo Airlines, which will cease operations on the Redmond-Las Vegas route as of August 11, 2025.

By taking these steps, Breeze Airways aims to accommodate the dynamic travel demands and adapt to the new tourism landscape in Las Vegas. This is particularly crucial as the city continues to draw in visitors focused on the entertainment, gambling, and casino experiences it offers.
