Virginia’s Bristol Casino Reaches Historic Revenue Milestone

The Bristol Casino in Virginia, soon to be rebranded as the Hard Rock Casino, has achieved a significant milestone in its revenue generation. According to a report from the Virginia Lottery, the casino recorded a remarkable $16.3 million in adjusted gross income for March, representing a notable 9% increase from its previous best month and an impressive 18% surge compared to March 2023. This success can be attributed to the casino’s strong performance in both slot machine revenue, which surpassed $13 million for the first time, and table games revenue, which exceeded $3 million, showcasing a diverse appeal to visitors.

Hard Rock officials had initially planned to introduce the newly built Bristol casino alongside a 300-room hotel by the year’s end. However, adjustments were made to the opening timeline of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol due to construction costs spiraling to over $550 million, significantly higher than the initial estimates in 2019 and 2022. Despite the budget increase, construction progress remains on schedule, with a target opening in July.
